Jazz Association of Macon creates relief fund for local musicians

A Macon non-profit is supporting local musicians suffering economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

That the city of eatonton will use their funds to provide assistance with bills, food, and more to 75 families a macon organization wants to support middle georgia musicians... with economic hardship... due to the covid-19 pandemic.

The jazz association of macon ... created a musician relief fund.

And it needs donors to contribute.

During the month of ma?the organization says it will match individual donation?up to 2-thousand dollars.

The president for the jazz association of macon explains ...the funds will help middle georgia musicians... hurting due to cancelled events.

"they rely on this for their livelihood to support their families and so these have been taught times, as you said people aren't thinking about musicians who are doing the weddings, playing the parties, and the c1 3 b13 club dates and other type of events, church gigs.
