The family of michael jones continues to mourn his loss.

This past friday jones was found dead inside a house in bessemer alabama a day after he had been reported missing in lowndes county today... our wcbi's bobby martinez talked to jones' family..

He joins us in the studio..

Joey, michaelichael jones family told me today that losing him has been heartbreaking, but reminiscing on the good times they once shared with him helps to ease the pain.

"he was just one of those people that you would probably meet once in a lifetime."

That's all michael jones family has left.

And they say most of them are good ones.

"if you met him, you like him, if you liked him, you loved him."

Jones got off his shift at work last wednesday around 6 o'clock in the morning, but never made it home.

I think i called tasha.

Then i called his brothers and sisters out of state and they started getting together.

We were wondering where he was at.

It was completely out of character for him not to come home like that unless they knew where he was at."

Michael was schedule to return to work that same evening at 6.

Again, he didn't show up.

Two days later, they got news they never expected.

Police in bessemer, alabama called to tell the family jones' had been found shot to death in an abandoned home.

Sot - latasha jones - sister "when we found out that he passed i think it shook the world.

Sot - lester jones - father "it hurts a lot...but day by day we are going through it."

Latasha swoope remembers her brother not only as loving brother, but also a devoted husband and father.

Sot - latasha jones swoope - sister "mike was the best of us he was he was a better sibling he was a nice sibling you know he was just special he was different."

Take vo in monitor his sister adds that her brother would want them to take care of his wife and children and they intend to do just that.

As for the investigation into his death, so far no arrests have been made.
