COVID-19: Delhi farmer buys flight tickets to send home his 10 workers

After two months of hardship due to lockdown, ten migrant workers in Delhi will be back home tomorrow.

Thanks to their employer Pappan Gehlot, a mushroom farmer, who bought air tickets for safe and quick travel.

Setting an example, Delhi farmer made proper arrangements for their travel to the airport.

One of the workers, said, "During lockdown our owner helped us, he arranged all the things, now he is sending us to our home town by flight.

I never thought that I would travel by flight.

We had to go on 1 april but we got stuck.

But now we are happy to meet as we will get to meet our family.

Even they can't believe that we are coming via flight." "We tried to book train tickets but were unable to do it.

Then we thought these people have been working with us for over 20 years, their journey should be safe, so we got them medically examined and arranged flight tickets for them," said Niranjan Gehlot, brother of farmer Pappan Gehlot.

Thousands of migrants have decided to take the road since the nationwide lockdown was announced by PM Modi to combat the virus.
