Heartwarming moment villagers drag pickup truck to safety after tumbling 80 metres down mountain

This is a heartwarming moment hundreds of villagers worked together to pull up a car that had crashed and toppled down a hill.

The driver suffered minor cuts when he skidded off the mountain road during a rainstorm in Tak, northern Thailand, on Wednesday morning (July 1).

He plunged 80 metres down a grassy ravine and clambered from the vehicle and called for help.

However, he did not want to call an expensive recovery truck to collect the damaged car so asks neighbours in the hill tribe region for help.

Astonishingly, more than 100 residents turn up and heaved the damaged silver pickup truck to safety.

It was then pushed away to be repaired.

Onlooker, Mae, said the tribal people did their best to help the accident victim with such unity and kindness.

He said: "It was such a kind and generous thing for the tribal people to do.

They did not even know the victim, but they wanted to help.''
