What started out as a shooting Tuesday morning ended in a standoff with several people in police custody.

We've got exclusive video from the moment three men were taken into custody today after a standoff on the south end of the city.

Police say it started with a shootout that left one man wounded.

Fox 55's brianna dahlquist was there when the men surrendered.

Hands up hands on top of your head?a 3-hour standoff comes to an end.

One-by-one three men walk out of a south clinton street home with their hands up and into the custody of heavily armed fort wayne police officers.

Police say it all started just after 10 this morning when neighbors reported shots fired near south harrison street.

"what we believe and what we've been told is there was a gun battle that continued to the clinton street area."a woman visiting her sister watched it unfold shaishy nelso: he came running back here and shooting the shotgun back here somewhere.

Officers found one man with a gunshot wound he was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police then focused their attention on the house on clinton street.

We got reports that the subjects fled to a house down the street.

We locked down the area, officers were able to find that house with the assistance of witnesses and right now we set up a perimeter around that house and loud hailing?

For them to come out the house and surrender.

When the men didn't immediately come out the department's crisis intervention team air support unit and emergency services teams surrounded the neighborhood.

One man did walk out peacefully but police say three more remained inside.

Neighbors could only watch and wait.

Vicki wade.i said a prayer before they went in the house that those guys could come out.

Around 1:30 officers fired chemical munitions inside the home to ?force?

By two o'clock each of the remaining three men walked out.

?nats?within an hour the neighborhood streets were all clear.

Neighbors though want to know what's next.

And i think the neighborhood needs to bring back the neighborhood association to try to keep this neighborhood safe from things like this.
