Health representatives reported 2 new deaths in our region..

One of those - is in glenn county, now reporting it's second death.

The person who died..

Was over the age of 65 and hospitalized.

The other death... in butte county - which now has a total of eight deaths.

The person was in their 80's and died at home.

They too, had underlying chronic health conditions.

The chico city council passed a motion tuesday that will allow city staff to fine businesses that are not in compliance with state guidelines.

The motion's proposal called for a one hundred dollar fine on the first violation, then a two hundred dollar and three hundred dollar fine for the second and third violations respectively.#### the health and human services secretary says the number of cases in california could be higher than the current count..

He said not all counties have been receiving full counts on the numbers of tests conducted-- nor the number of positive tests.

He blamed a technical issue affecting the state's database and said it was unclear when that problem would be fixed.
