'Catfish' host and former pageant queen Kamie Crawford reveals her beauty tips

Kamie Crawford is hosting the newest season of MTV's "Catfish" alongside Nev Schulman.

But even while she helps people investigate uncertain online relationships, her beauty game remains strong, especially while shooting the series virtually.

This is a 15-minute make up routine.I move very quickly.(upbeat music)I've been thinking about it all night,just so you know.I like couldn't get sleep.Aren't you tired?That's what concealer is for.(man laughs)I have this MAC Cork lip pencil,this is like my go-to lip pencil always.And then this lipstick is their Powder Kiss lipstickin the color Impulsive, like a nude.I love it,it feels like so velvety.And then this is a new gloss,this is also MAC, offers are on for MAC.This is Teyana Taylor's new collab with MAC,it's a gloss called Gonna Love Me.And that's it.I am a former pageant girl at the end of the dayso I have to make sure that my stuff is together.Most of the makeup skills that I knowI learned from YouTube, back when I was like 15 years old.My family,I'm from Maryland, but we had moved to Scarsdale, New Yorkfor a year when I was a sophomore in high schooland I hated it.I hated it so much, it was like very isolatingand so I spent a lot of time in my roomon YouTube watching makeup tutorials.And then it just so happened that two years after thator so, I entered in my first pageant,and I had to do my makeup myself and I had my skills.I wish I had the skills that I have now back then,because it's definitely like night and day.Sometimes I cringe looking at the photos from back thenbecause I didn't even have concealer.I didn't have brows, I didn't have, I'm like,"Oh my god, it's a tragedy."But, makeup and glam are things I've alwaysbeen obsessed with.I thought I was gonna be a dermatologist when I was younger,turns out bio was not my thingso I switched to communications and haven't looked back,but I'm still lucky to be able to still workwith beauty products and stuff like thatthrough social media collaborationsand things of that nature.So, I'm still involved,very much involved.I'm here for all of the glam.Other than "Catfish", RuPaul's Drag Race is like, my jamso anything having to do with like, the beat is,that's my heart, that's where I'm at.Because the more blush you put on,the prettier you will be.Just own what it is that you want out of life.There's so many opportunities,you can have anything that you want in this worldas long as you work for it and you are dedicated to it,and you manifest it, you can have it.So that's my advicebut don't strive to be like me,strive to be the best version of you that you can beand just like ride with thatbecause that's gonna be way better than being me,trust me.
