Thank you jodie as we know, the funeral for 2-year-old raeylnn craig was at earlier today, but 5 minutes before the funeral, bells were ringing across town, honoring the passing of the little girl that was shot and killed in a drive-bye shooting a little more than a week ago... <<<nat.

I thought 'wouldn't it be nice if all the churches could ring their bells all over town."kay currier belongs to st.

Mary's catholic church, and wanted to come up with a way for all the churches in town to unite together in honor of raelynn craig..."so, i thought maybe, catholic church, and all the other churches in town could ring their bells."

"it was so sad about the little 2 year old being shot, so i just thought, 'gee, why don't we do that?'

And i'm on some of the crime pages, and i put that idea out and it kind of exploded."the idea came to her on friday night, and around a dozen local churhes wanted to join in... "got this idea friday, it was late, everybody's closed on the weekends, so i had to start calling today.

And most of them said, 'yes, we'll do it' or 'if we had the bells we would,' so i really appreciated that."growing up catholic, kay knew the meaning of the church bells,either it was time for mass, or it was to stop and say a prayer... "when people hear church bells, hopefully they'll just stop, and maybe think about the little girl and say a prayer."kay added that even though the bells already rang today,that the next time you hear a church bell, she hopes people will just stop for a moment and say a prayer,to think about the life of child that was gone too soon..."just say, 'god, hold her in your arms.'
