Alright, Marco is struggling thismorning.

A lot of wind shear and dryair is really tearing the storm apartthis morning.

Most of the deep activityis across the Florida Panhandle thismorning, very little in the way of deepthunderstorms near the center of Marco. We expect weakening to continue fortoday.

This is the 17 advisory.

Topwinds are only 50 miles an hour.

Rightnow we were up to 60 at 4 a.m.

Thestorm is weakening rapidly as it willcontinue moving to the West and reallyskirting the obedient Louisiana coast. So not expecting much of the way ofimpact along the Mississippi coast.

Wedo have a few showers this morning.Very light rain showers along theMississippi coast and moving towardsthe New Orleans area.

You see most ofthe deeper activity.

It is well to thenorth and east of the center, and weexpect that to continue for the daytoday.

So that's some good news onMarco's front, and the winds are alsogoing to be shrinking as well.

I thinkthe core of any gusty winds are goingto remain mainly south of New Orleans.I think along lower Plaquemine Parish,Lower Jefferson, Lower Love Foucher andLower Terrebonne Parish.

Ah, and thestorm is going toe weaken rapidly as itmoves towards Vermillion Bay andtowards the Lake Charles area arereally a remnant.

Low, I think, as weheaded during the day tomorrow.

Allright, here's Laura out here, chuggingalong west northwest at 21 miles anhour.

Talk wins of 65.

The storm isgoing to stay over water just along theCuban coast, but then move into theGulf of Mexico on Tuesday and quicklyramp up to a hurricane.

And we'reexpecting landfall of Laura by earlyThursday morning as perhaps a Categorytwo hurricane.

Some models have been alittle bit stronger with Laura.

We haveto wait and see how it does interactwith the gulf waters, and the track ofit does take it up to Louisiana,Arkansas and up into the Ohio RiverValley.

Now again, we've been sayingthis all weekend long.

The track ofLaura determines the effects we havehere in central Mississippi.

Thefurther East the storm tracks, the moreof an impact we have.

The further Westthe storm tracks with less of an impactthat we have that something that we'regonna be watching very carefully overthe next several days.

At any rate, theworst day around here should be on theday Thursday for weather around here. There's Marco shrinking and weakeningrapidly.

And then here comes Laura here, chugging along the gulf.

And again, aswe head into Thursday morning, thewinds could be over 100 miles an hours. It does make landfall on thisparticular computer model.

It does makelandfall very near the Lake Charles,Louisiana area, and that would meanmore of an impact here in our area.Look west of I 55 some pretty strongwinds along the Mississippi River, andthen the storm quickly moves up throughArkansas and into the Ohio Valley byFriday.

So the good news is the stormis moving pretty rapidly across theregion.

But again, stay tuned.

We'llhave a lot more on this coming upthrough the next couple of days so youcan see most of the Squali weather isgoing to be along the Louisiana coastaround here today.

Just a typicalAugust.

A couple pop up showers andthunderstorms later on this afternoon, and same holds true for the day onTuesday as Marco degenerates.

And thenwe turn towards Laura and you can seethe deep easterly flow continues asLaura gets better organized here intothe Gulf of Mexico.

All right, so hereis the bottom line.

One more time.

WithLaura, you can see there's the trackright there, moving up through theLouisiana area on Thursday.

Again, ifit tracks more to the East, more of animpact in our area if it tracks more tothe West, less of an impact, and we'rewatching it very, very closely.

So nosignificant impacts for Marco here inthe Jackson area.

But again, watchingthe track of Laura as our impacts willbe highly dependent on that temperature, starting off the day in the lowerseventies, looking going the radar thismorning.

But later on this afternoon, there could be a few pop a bubble ofshowers and thunderstorms across ourarea.

So Marco begins to dissipate.

Andthen we're going to take another lookat Laura as she continues to moveacross the Gulf of Mexico.

There it is,right down there.

There's Laura, movingacross and organizing here into theGulf.

So for today.

High temperatures88 breezy showers around and the nextseven days really watching Wednesdayand Thursday.

That's going to be themain days around here for watchingLaura.

Temperatures are going to be inthe upper eighties to near 90 and then,by the weekend, a typical Augustpattern.

Highs in the lower nineties,right?
