As we mentioned -- we are still waiting for official results from the municipal election in decatur.

It included the mayoral race and several city council seats.

Waay31's megan reyna joins us live outside city hall.

She spoke with incumbent mayor tab bowling on what the results are looking like, megan?

I stopped by tab bowling's election party just thirty minutes ago as it was wrapping up.

While the official results aren't in -- he told me its looking like it will be a runoff between him and candidate william butch mathews.

The city clerk said however they are waiting on one polling site to confirm the runoff.

But bowling isn't too surprised by the results so far.

Tonight he was facing six challengers.

Bowling said he was impressed with the voter turnout -- during this pandemic and with the rain.

Like i mentioned -- we are still waiting to confirm this runoff and the winners of the other races with the city clerks office.
