Continue to watch children and keep the centers free of coronavirus.

Wtva's wayne hereford joins us live in tupelo where one daycare owner shared the measures they take to keep workers and children safe.

Lynne black owns two daycare centers here in tupelo called little leap academy .

She says she shut her daycare center down for two weeks back in march to make her center safer.

Natsounds...lynne black says its not easy or cheap to fight the coronavirus right now.

But she says she is doing everything she can to win the battle.

"back in march we closed for like two weeks.

So what we did ,my staff and i, we came in we trashed all books .

Just got rid of things that we could not wash or could not be saved and we bought all new things."

Black says she has added other things such as the huge machine to check the temperature of everyone who comes into the building.

She says other devices installed help to purify the air inside.

"its called aptco.

And what it is , its a u.v.

Light air filtration in our vents and all of our central air and cooling units."

She says of course, there's no substitute simply wiping things down with an approved array of sanitizers, and simply having the children wash their hands a lot every day.

Black says parents come no further than the front door to drop off their kids each day .

She says she and staff members have been trained to watch for signs of the coronavirus as well.

"what were some of the signs as far as runny nose, a light fever, of if the children were acting as if they were eighter dehydrated , or lethargic.

It sort of trained us on some of the things to look for."

Black says they have talked to the health department to have a doctor on staff to test children if necessary.

She says she uses an electro-static sprayer at least two times a week.
