Protester arrested for riding horse along highway in Chicago

A horse-riding protester nicknamed the "Dreadhead Cowboy" was arrested after galloping along the Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago, Illinois, on Monday (September 21).

Footage shows the man holding up traffic while being followed by motorcycles.

Police patrol cars later gave chase before taking the rider into custody.

The cowboy, identified as Adam Hollingsworth, reportedly broadcast the stunt online while claiming that ''kids' lives matter''.

He claimed to have ridden his skewbald quarter-horse at multiple civil rights protests this summer.

Reports said that Hollingsworth is a known activist in the Chicago community and had worked with Mayor Lori Lightfoot.
