Fundraiser helps family of two siblings involved in a fatal crash in Blackford County

Thanks for joining us.tonight a family is mourning after two children died in a crash last week while riding in a truck with their father in blackford county.

Fox 55's jentill neal talked to a close family friend about how you can help.

Hunter, i talked to danielle crabtree who is the best friend to michelle cook.

Michelle cook is the children's mother.she says michelle is strong through the heartbreak, but knows it's going to take some help to relieve some of the financial burden.

I would not be able to do what she did today."the children died in a collision with a semi truck a few days ago while riding with their father.it happened on indiana state road 18 in blackford county.the truck driver was not injured.their father is still in the hospital.crabtree is hoping to provide some help for her best friend during this difficult time.she's doing it through fund the first- an crowd funding platform for first responders and military personnel.when the ceo robert garland saw the story on facebook, they created a campaign to help with expenses since cook is burying both children at the same tme.> 05:47:17-05:47:32"their mother michelle is going through a gigantic hardship right now with her other daughter and we have this platform now to provide the support.

Luckily someone like danielle who has served time in the military came to the rescue."the money will go directly to michelle from the campaign.she still has another child to take care of.00:05:08-00:05:20"she has a 13 year old whitney.
