Teenager, Mohammed Shibin, has accomplished his childhood dream of building his very own car and become a local star in the process.

Based in Pariyapuram, southwest India, Shibin has amazed family and friends with his creation, which he built in just 20 days using his father's old motorbike's engine.

Footage from October 9 shows Shibin driving around in his four-wheeler.

The rest of the parts were bought from a second-hand car shop.

Welding, drilling, and cutting all were done by Shibin, bringing the cost down to only ₹7500 (£78 GBP).

Shibin said: "Since I use hybrid technology, there is nothing to worry about, even if the car is running out of petrol.

The electric engine will run the car to its destination.

"It gets 40 km mileage per litre of petrol used and by electric motor, it can run at a speed of 15-20 km for two hours.

All functions including the shock absorber are the same as other cars." Yet the complete his project, Shibin still aims to include a combined braking system and a self-start engine soon.
