Saturday Morning Webcast

16 WAPT Meteorologist Christana Kay has the forecast for Jackson and Central Mississippi.

We were on the very chilly side thismorning on the brink of cold, even alot of places hitting the mid to upperforties with a few spots feeling likethe low forties earlier this morning. But the good news is we do warm up verypleasant conditions later thisafternoon, 64 by noon, 73 by threeo'clock, with lots of sunshine buttemperatures as we head into the sunsethour in this evening, quickly dropping62 by around six oclock mid thio lowfifties.

Potentially as we head intothe nine o'clock hour, I do think thisis going to be a little bit on thelower note.

I feel like we're gonna bein the mid to upper fifties instead oflow fifties.

But North Mississippicould potentially see low fifties as wehead into the later part of the evening.Heading up to Davis Wait Stadium thisafternoon, Mississippi State taking onTexas A and M Agnes kickoff at threeo'clock temperatures, staying in themid to upper sixties with lots ofsunshine cool in the shade, but overalla very comfortable game day for up inStark Vegas, then Ole Miss hitting theroad going to Donald W.

ReynoldsStadium over and Fayetteville, Arkansas, road going to Donald W.

ReynoldsStadium over and Fayetteville, Arkansas, taking on the Razorbacks kick off at 230.

Again.

Very sunny conditions.taking on the Razorbacks kick off at 230.

Again.

Very sunny conditions.Temperature is pretty comfortable.Upper sixties low seventies.

But thereally big difference is the wind. They're going to be seeing a windadvisory up until five o'clock thisafternoon.

Gusta times could rangebetween 30 to 35 miles an hour backhere at home tonight.

Temperatures Notgonna be It's cold, but we're stillgonna be on the chilly Your note 52degrees that the few passing cloudspossible in the wind picks up out ofthe south tomorrow afternoon.Comfortable, Fantastic conditions.

Alittle bit more cloud cover fortomorrow.

Temperatures reaching theupper seventies and low eighties.

Quicklook at the tropics.

We have onetropical wave worth noting a very highchance that we could be seeing this asa sub tropical depression or storm bythe end of the weekend or the start ofthe week.

And this is gonna be namedEpsilon.

Most likely, we only have twonames away from tying the record of2005 if we end up reaching a namedstorm of Ada.

Then we will beating. We'll be beating the record for 2005.So we've been saying active in the midAtlantic as well as the Caribbean.

Butthe Gulf of Mexico has been stayingquiet for the past couple of days andwe'll continue to do so thanks tomultiple cold fronts that have beenmoving across the eastern part of theUnited States.

So this weekend, verymild conditions, lots of sunshine to goaround.

But as we head to the earlypart of next week and pretty much allof next week, we're gonna be warming onup temperatures well above average forthis time of year.

Lots of sunshine togo around as well and the humidity isalso expected to bump back up will beseeing do points of returning into thesixties so overall tolerable next week. But we'll still be seeing for somemuggy conditions as we head into themiddle to end of the week.

But as we gointo the next couple of days, here'swhat we're going to be expecting.Temperatures well above average forthis time of year, not only along theEastern seaboard, but also for us herein Jackson, Temperatures are expectedto be in the mid to low eighties nextweek, but we do have a little bit of achange of potentially and about a weekand a half to two weeks in advance. This is a little too far out to giveyou.

This is exactly what's going tohappen.

But there has been a trend ofsome cooling air slowly moving towardsthe eastern Southeast over the nextweek and a half to two weeks.

Sosomething worth noting and monitoringas we go through the next couple ofdays.

So here's your seven day forecastfor you.

Temperatures again today.Pretty nice and pleasant, 73 degreesfor our high chilly in the morning andthen temperatures going well aboveaverage for this time here next week.Lows in the sixties, highs in the midto low eighties.

A few chances of someshowers can't be ruled out by themiddle part of next week, and then acold front swings through the MagnoliaState Friday, bringing a chance for afew thunderstorms.Yeah,
