Scholar Athlete of the Week: Caitlyn Blandford, Apollo

Caitlyn blandford is our latest scholar athlete of the week.

Hi, my name is caitlyn blandford.

I'd like to thank god, my parents, my past and present coaches and all of my teachers for pushing me to be the student and athlete that i am today.

Caitlyn blandford has worn the c on her arm since her sophomore year.

It means a lot .

((caitlyn )) it is a huge responsibility knowing that anything that could go wrong, it could fall back on my shoulders but ((scholar athlete of the week )) i know that in the end they have a lot of trust in me and if i keep living up to those expectations it'll just help me in the end as well as my whole team.

She's really a ((david)) born leader to be honest with you.

She's just somebody that comes to practice ready ((scholar athlete of the week )) to go from getting her stuff ready and being the first one on the field.

She's constantly getting the other kids to work harder.

The academic all state first teamer doesn't just perform on the pitch..

Blandford gets the job done in the classroom as well.

The senior ranked in the top 5% of her class.

One of the strongest students i've ever had.

But even more than that just highly engaged at all times, always willing to lend a helping hand to other students in the class and probably my favorite ((mason )) things about her she always asks really good questions and is really engaged mentally.

((scholar athlete of the week )) and when she's not busy in sports or her academic life..

Blandford is extremely active in the apollo community..

As the national honor society and future business leaders of america president is involved in 22 different clubs and activities.

I really want to be involved throughout my high school career and i know that it'll help me get experience in a lot of activities and involvement throughout my community and i know being involved in a lot now will help me narrow down what i would like to do in the future.

David- she is one of those kind of kids, her work ethic is very good.

She's got a job that she's working in the summer and also coming here to practice.

So that's all going to bode well for her in the future.

Mason- it's not a matter of if, but what.

Whatever she decides she wants to do she'll be successful at.

In part because she's an intelligent young lady but more so because she refuses to fail at anything .

Soccer or school or extra curricular, she's so driven that i don't think failure is on her radar in any capacity.
