Share the Warmth coat drive in Rochester

The Share the Warmth coat drive is going on in Rochester.

The early october snowfall is reminding us winter is on it's way ?

Kimt news 3's samantha soto got to 'share the warmth' with a few charities today.

With the colder seasons fast approaching, it was a great day to kick off the share the warmth coat drive.

Volunteers from rochester elks lodge #1091 along with rochester caity warming center joined to collect donations of warm winter clothing at charleys.

The elks lodge values helping people in the community , and this is one way for them to give back.

"* is mind blowin there's so much going on and they are so dedicated tpo giving back to the community..

And it's really what the e coat donation, you could be helping individuals who are homeless, veterans, and children in need.

The organizations are looking for winter coats and items for all ages ?

The first one hundred people to donate today were given a tax deduction reciept and a toppers free pizza coupon to thank them for their generosity.

"you know its kind of nice to be able to have friends that you can help out.

And it's just always good in your community to be able to do that and make connections and comraderies helps everybody all the way around.

" roch elk lodge, catholic charities and the warming center will be accepting share these donations through october 31.
