This morning - falkville high is also preparing for the transition to online learning.

The morgan county school district says they made the decison to switch to remote after a high number of staff members either tested positive or needed to quarantine.

Waay 31's sierra phillips is live to explain the extra safety measures happening while students learn from home.

The district plans on another deep clean of the building before staff and students return following the thanksgiving holiday!

That's in addition to the deep clean that the district does every week.

On wednesdays - all morgan county schools students learn remotely so that their schools can get an extra round of cleaning.

Right now - the district's dashboard says there are 5 staff cases and 7 student cases at falkville high school.

The school has 416 students - but the district didn't say how many are in quarantine.

But - we do know those case numbers are the highest in the district.

Students are set to return to campus on november 30th after thanksgiving break.
