Katie... george... the restrictions announced last friday have already impacted rochester businesses significantly... with several bars... restaurants... movie theaters... and even community centers like 125 live behind me being forced to close or move?

And even withy's ann upcoming relief package from governor walz... local businesses whether it will be enough to help them stay open.

"within the first 48 hours of the executive order, we lost over 100 members through suspensions and cancellations."

A rochester community center... struggling to stay afloat after a new set of coronavirus restrictions took effect last friday.

"now, we're operating easily at a loss that is just significant, and if we continue this closure for any longer, we don't know what might happen next."

Governor walz... announcing an aid package for small businesses forced to close by last week's orders... will be unveiled tomorrow.

"i am not optimistic, but i'm hopeful that something will happen that will benefit 125 live, as well as all the other organizations impacted by these restrictions and the executive order."

Rochester area chamber of commerce president kathleen harrington says the impact of these orders on small businesses is significant.

Tonight... she has this message for elected leaders.

"relief in whatever way you can provide it, for small business in particular, especially in our community ?

*- hospitality,is critical, because it is the difference for many families between being able to pay the rent and not, it's the and harrington went on to say she looks forward to the governor's announcement tomorrow... but urges leaders in washington to pass more coronavirus aid quickly.

Because here on the ground in rochester... businesses like 125 live and others say their bills keep coming despite being closed... and they've already had to start laying off staff in the midst of the holiday season.
