Wabash College in Crawfordsville has announced it plans to freeze tuition and fees in the 2021-2022 school year.

This comes as some colleges haven't made this commitment due to lack of revenue from the covid-19 pandemic.

At the end of the spring semester of 20-20, the school reimbursed a portion of room and board for students since they went to a virtual learning enviornment.

Chip timmons is the dean for enrollment management.

He says they want to make sure are ablee to attend school since many families are facing trying economic times due to the pandemic.

"you know some day they are going to give back.

So we feel we should invest in them now knowing that it will come back to us.

It might be 5 years it might be 55 years but wabash has always been a place to kind of pay it forward."

Tuition for the 2021-2022 will be $45-thousand dollars and fees are $850.

The college offered a fully in-person, residential experience during the fall semester, and 97% of all enrolled students were on campus.

Majority of classes were taught in-person, though some were taught outside.
