While businesses like along came trudy continue to fight the governor's restrictions... some business experts say they worry situations like this are doing more harm than good.

Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us why they say it won't be worth it in the end.

Like many small business owners& sam gross has been struggling to get customers into his restaurant... logger tap house... because of governor brown latest restrictions.

He says this is worse than when they first shut down in march.

However, he says the last thing he going to do is violate the law.?not that i agree with those orders, but there could be a real scary thing that happe?

He also acts as an advisor for the umpqua business center& and has worked with more than 100 business owners to help them through the pandemic.

He says he watched as business owners in our area choose to openly defy the governor& and he knows its not worth it.

If you did 100,000 a month in sales, which is quiet a bit for a lot of these restaurants, youe only going to have 5-10 thousand in profit and if you get a 14 thousand fine, that two months down the drain?

Dallas, texas based attorney quentin brogdon tells me small business owners could have a case& depending on the circumstances.

However, he says it always comes down to osha.

Phoner: " the duties of an employer under covid, you begin with the osha regulations that employers have a duty to provide a safe workplace for their employers?

Even though many businesses are frustrated with the governor mandate, gross says he advising them to make do with what they can.

Doing things like ordering heaters, tents for outside, outdoor lighting?

In rural douglas county, gross says people are more likely to support local businesses& if the owners put in the work to get the word out there.
