Welcome back welcome back welcome back to a special wednesday in the paint... it was trophy day at the vigo county school corporation wabash valley classic.... the consolation title, fifth place, third place and classic championships were on the line.... we'll start with the consolation championship game between 1a, second ranked kouts and 2a, second ranked linton... logan webb with the nice putback for linton to beat the first quarter buzzer.... second quarter....linton star lincoln hale moves into third all-time on the classic scoring list...this alley oop moves him past cooper neese.... fourth quarter....linton down three....joey hart changes that with the three with less than to two to play to tie the game at 33 and force overtime... in ot....lincoln hale drives and finds hart for the layup.....miners up 35-33..... but kouts would end the game on a seven-nothing run.....cole wireman the and one for the mustangs.... kouts wins the battle between ranked teams 40-35, the mustangs win the consolation championship.... i mentioned lincoln hale...the future sycamore and isu signee finished his classic career third on the all-time scoring list with 291 points, he passed cooper nees and was just one point shy of second place and rj mahurin....
