Farmer protests spread to Mumbai: Congress, NCP leaders attend; cops stop march

As farmer protests on Delhi's borders crossed the 60-day mark, their compatriots in Maharashtra have started a mega demonstration.

Farmers assembled at Mumbai's Azad Maidan to protest against the 3 recent agri-reform laws.

Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, and Maharashtra Congress chief Balasaheb Thorat were among those present.

However, ruling alliance partner Shiv Sena did not send any senior leader to the protest.

Later, the farmers' march to the Raj Bhavan was stopped by police.
