Chinese firefighters battle to extinguish high-rise building engulfed in flames
A 26-storey office building caught fire in northern China.
The video, captured in the city of Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province on March 8, shows the fire spreading from the ground floor to the 25th-floor on the exterior of the building, while heavy smoke rising into the air.
According to reports, the 111.6-metre-high building with 622 apartments was built in 2003.
The fire burst out of the ground floor.
Nearby residents heard the sound of an explosion.
No one was trapped inside the building.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and the video was provided by local media with permission.
