Honoring a fallen hero

New at ten -- both state and local leaders came together... they honored the memory of fallen huntsville police officer billy clardy the third today.

Officer clardy was shot and killed while working in december of 20-19.

Alabama's attorney general, steve marshall, gave the clardy family a certificate in rememberance to clardy's continuous devotion in protecting alabama.

Mayor tommy battle thanked fallen officer clardy as well as current officers for their roles in making the city a better place.

"to billy clardy and the clardy family, thank you for sharing him with us for those years that he served the city of huntsville, and we'll always remember he went above and beyond, and made this a very special place, and made huntsville a safer place."
