She tells me having a secured campground would help her tremendously& crystin jaimes/lives in comanche creek "they're telling to put us in shelters and stuff you know but we really don't have anywhere to go."

Crystin jaimes can't fight back the tears - her dogs and couple of items in this tent is all she owns& "but we're like family..

Literally like family.

All of us.

It is weird how we all come together.

It is just a thing.

We are all in the same boat out here."

Former butte county supervisor ed mchlaughlin is offering up five acres of his land located on cohassat road north of the chico airport.

That plot of land would be sanctioned for camping for five years.

City officials say this could be a tough task.

Andrew coolidge/city of chico mayor "you have to prep the land, you have to have bathrooms and showers available.

There is a threshold we have to meet and it is not easy to do.

Without the state and federal funding, i don't view it as something as a city it something we can spend millions of dollars to house 40 to 60 people."

Though jaimes is thankful she has been able to call comanche creek home for the past two years..

She is ready to not have to live in fear anymore.

Crystin jaimes/lives in comanche creek "i think it would be awesome.

Of course we are going to pick up and leave and go somewhere we can be.

It would make it less drama."
