New tonight.... the north central health district has decided to decrease its number of covid-19 testing sites.
In the last seven days ... the health district reports... it has performed 111 covid tests... across their 13 sites.
During the same week ... back in january ... the sites gave 445 tests.
Michael hokanson with the north central health district says... there are more options for testing.... available to the public now.
But he's still weary... of the drop in testing.
People are just deciding not to get testing because a) they don't want to, they don't want to be the person that has to isolate at home and cause coworkers, friends, or fellow students to be in quarantine so instead of being tested like they need to, they're just avoiding it in general.
The counties -- within the district -- still offering covid testing... include baldwin, hancock, and houston county.
