Political parrot says 'Up the Democrats!' every time Joe Biden comes on the TV

Meet the chatty parrot who squawks "Up the Democrats!'

Whenever he sees US president Joe Biden appear on the TV.Lucky Angel is an African Grey parrot who has a fascination with the news - and  hilariously squawks "Trump's a wnker" when the former president appears too.Fortunately, his political learnings match that of his owner Marie McAleavey, 50, who finds endless amusement in his ramblings.Marie said: "He watches the news with me, I have him in the main room where the TV is he just loves the news. "One time I was talking on the phone and I was saying that Trump's a bloody w*nker and he picked up on it, and I said 'up the Democrats!'

And he wouldn't stop. "When Biden is on TV he he just says it automatically."Six-year-old Lucky Angel announces his slogans two or three times a day, which belong to a repertoire of over a thousand words. His penchant for politics started when Biden became the president of the United States last November, and appeared more frequently on Marie's TV.His Trump-related outburst was inspired by a chat she had with a relative about the state of the US government in 2018."She doesn't like Trump and she was saying he was irresponsible in the way he was running the country," she said."She was talking about everything he was up to and I must have said something like 'God he must be a w*nker that Trump'."He sits on my shoulder when I'm on the phone and he just came out with it - 'Trump's a w*nker'."I knew he was quick at picking stuff up."She adopted Lucky Angel when she spotted him for sale on Gumtree after his former owner passed away in Northern Ireland. She added: "He wasn't too chatty.

He would say the man's name who he used to be with, but that was about it."He soon learned to count to count to seven, and Marie said he came out of his shell when he fell in love with her favourite songs.Furloughed carer Marie said: "He's so quirky, he was singing to me this morning, "I love Doris Day and I was singing along to 'Que Sera Sera' and he picks it up he sings with me. "He's hilarious, I'm teaching him how to count with playing cards."He talks to the Alexa sometimes - he told Alexa to shut up when it was playing a song he didn't like."Single Marie has enjoyed having the chatty chap around during the lockdown periods over the past year. She said: "I think he's great company, during this pandemic I got him to say 'wear a mask' and he would say that when people came over and were stood at the front door."Friends just think it's a hoot.

I was always saying how good he is at talking but it wasn't until the pandemic they came to visit him more they believed me."
