CNN reports New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson has received a suspension and a fine from Major League Baseball, .
For his "inappropriate comments” towards Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson during a game on May 21.
Anderson told reporters that Donaldson had repeatedly called him "Jackie" (Robinson) throughout the game.

Tensions escalated in the fifth inning following a verbal spat between Donaldson and White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal.
Donaldson seemingly pointed towards Anderson soon after confronting Grandal, and both teams cleared their benches.
Anderson rushed towards Donaldson but was restrained by his teammates.
Following the game, Donaldson admitted to reporters he had referred to Anderson as "Jackie," but denied any intent of racism.
Obviously, he deemed it was disrespectful and look, if he did, I apologize because that’s not what I was trying to do by any matter.
