The never-ending story of the drama about Don't Worry Darling threatens to overtake the enthusiasm for the film itself.
Between the Shia Labeouf drama, the Olivia Wilde vs.
Florence Pugh dust, and the cavalcade of other things going on, we now have something else to worry about: whether Chris Pine and Harry Styles are also fighting .
This next piece of news comes solely from a video clip someone previously recorded at the film's premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where the film received a four-minute standing ovation.
That applause could potentially have lasted longer if Pugh had reportedly not left the theater while the cast slowly followed behind.
In the short clip, Pine is already sitting down and Styles seems to spit at his feet before sitting down next to him.
Pine appears to pause as he registers what has happened and then appears to smile and laugh at it while Styles looks over and smiles.
There is some apparent tension between everyone involved in this film, especially while watching the film.
The film's stars were reportedly sent down the festival's red carpet at different times so Pugh and Wilde wouldn't have to meet, but it looks like the actors are taking sides against or for the director.
Wilde was asked to "clean the air" on everything and remained diplomatic, perhaps realizing how big the drama story is getting.
"As for all the endless tabloid gossip and noise out there, I mean the internet feeds itself," she said at the press conference.
