PM's speech blasts 'anti-growth coalition'

The prime minister says she plans for "growth, growth, growth" in the economy and that she will not let the "anti-growth coalition" hold her back, in her first party conference speech as Conservative leader.

Liz Truss admits the 45p tax cut announced in the chancellor's mini-budget was a "distraction" and pledges to "build a new Britain for a new era" shortly after some Greenpeace protestors disrupted her address.
