Rees-Mogg: IMF's criticism of mini-budget weird

Jacob Rees-Mogg says the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) criticism of the chancellor's mini-budget is "weird", The IMF has said the government and Bank of England are "like two drivers trying to steer a car in different directions" and warned that the UK economy could sharply reduce in 2023 as consumer spending catches up with rampant inflation and higher interest rates.

The business secretary says the pound falling against the dollar "always happens", as "US interest rates have been rising faster, therefore attracting global investors to the dollar".
