French President Emmanuel Macron blamed video games for the ongoing riots in the country.
The demonstrations have been going on for over three nights over the death of a teenager of North African descent who was shot during a traffic stop.
Macron alleged that the riots were being organised online on social media platforms like Snapchat and TikTok.
He called on social media platforms to remove sensitive content related to the three nights of rioting.
The 45-year-old head of state chaired a crisis security meeting on Friday.
He said that about a third of the people arrested over the rioting were ‘young or very young’.
Macron said that it’s the responsibility of parents to keep their children at home.
