The Liberal government is planning on ramping up its target number of immigrants to Canada to 500,000 by 2025 (though the actual number will be higher when asylum seekers and other entry programs are taken into consideration.

New polling shows more than two-thirds of Canadians think this will negatively impact the cost of housing, though the federal government is refusing to budge.
