NASA EPIC VIEW OF 2017 ECLIPES ACROSS AMERICA

In August 2017, NASA's Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) captured an incredible view of the total solar eclipse as it passed over North America.

EPIC is located on the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite, which orbits Earth at a distance of about one million miles.

The camera recorded images of the moon's shadow as it moved across the continent, providing a unique and detailed perspective on this astronomical event.

The images show the dark shadow of the moon surrounded by a bright corona, as well as the changing landscape and weather patterns on Earth below.

This unprecedented view of the eclipse provides valuable data for scientists and offers a stunning visual experience for viewers
