After hiking a trail in Sedona the day before, and having some beers the night before, decided on a whim to go hike the Grand Canyon again with my buddy.
We hiked down South Kaibab Trail, hung around for lunch near Phantom Ranch, and hiked back up the Bright Angel Trail.
It was late July, 2011.
Sun directly overhead.
No clouds.
No shade.
Beyond brutal getting back to the top.
Not many pix on the way back up.
Too focused on taking the next step.
Took plenty of water.
Should have had more post-hike nutrients, etc.
In my vehicle, but didn't.
Horrible cramps, like getting electrocuted, all night.
Had a Gatorade and passed out.
Fell decent the next morning.
