New law extends New York state eviction protections for residential tenants

Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill Tuesday that extends an eviction moratorium for residential renters who face financial hardships due to the coronavirus through the end of New York's state of emergency. Cuomo first issued an executive order banning evictions in March.
