Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill Tuesday that extends an eviction moratorium for residential renters who face financial hardships due to the coronavirus through the end of New York's state of emergency. Cuomo first issued an executive order banning evictions in March. Then in May, Cuomo extended the eviction moratorium until Aug. 20 for residential and commercial tenants in the state who are facing financial hardships due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
