Kin Mining Ltd (ASX:KIN) has further strengthened the Cardinia Gold Project (CGP) in Western Australia with high-grade results of up to 15 metres at 3.35 g/t from 9 metres in reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Bruno-Lewis deposit. The 10-hole drilling program was undertaken as part of the ongoing Phase 3 drilling program due to better-than-expected drilling productivity in recent weeks. Kin also decided to take advantage of the availability of the RC rig while the company awaits further assay results from the large number of regional prospects drilled in recent weeks including Helens East, Cardinia Hill, Hobby and East Lynne. “Exceptional underlying value” Managing director Andrew Munckton said: “The strong results being generated by the Phase 3 drilling continue to demonstrate the exceptional underlying value of the Cardinia Gold Project. “We were able to capitalise on the excellent progress we have been making with the RC rig by fitting in a strategic 10-hole program at the cornerstone Bruno-Lewis deposit.” Other strong results include: 1-metre at 35.4 g/t from 41 metres; 9 metres at 5.03 g/t from 33 metres; 9 metres at 2.58 g/t from 23 metres;  11 metres at 1.78 g/t from 34 metres; and 7 metres at 1.40 g/t from 21 metres and 1-metre at 19.5 g/t from 44 metres. The drilling program aimed to extend and upgrade classification of the inferred material in the Bruno-Lewis mineral resource. It also intersected new ore zones not previously modelled with existing pit designs at A1,800/ounce, indicating the potential for a much larger system joining up with the adjacent Lewis East prospect. Aircore and diamond drilling is continuing at the CGP with RC drilling scheduled to resume shortly. "Results have exceeded expectations" Munckton continued: “The results have exceeded our expectations, highlighting the potential both to increase the average grade of the resource and to include previously identified lode positions that were not classified as part of the mineral resource estimate in February 2020. “This work will be incorporated as part of our project-wide mineral resource estimate update towards the end of the year, which will be based on current, much higher gold prices. “The recent drilling has also demonstrated the potential for the mineralisation at Bruno-Lewis to link up with the Lewis East prospect as part of a much larger mineralised system. “This potential will be evaluated with further drilling later this year.” Further drilling is planned to define the extent of the new ore zones and upgrade substantial inferred resource material to indicated status as part of the ongoing phase-3 program.
