archTIS Ltd (ASX:AR9) has entered a contractual agreement with an Australian Commonwealth Intelligence Agency to run a Proof of Concept (POC) for dynamic, policy-based access control of big data.

The 8-week pilot, which is expected to begin in mid-September, will assess the benefits of these controls to resolve the challenges of real-time cross-agency data sharing between Commonwealth and State agencies to provide individually customised access to data.

This agreement is on a fixed price contract and is expected to contribute to the future capability requirements of the agency's information-sharing needs with the potential of being introduced in additional phases of delivery if successful.*"Significant global problem"*

archTIS chief executive officer Daniel Lai said: "The real-time sharing of big data sets between different organisations is a complex problem at the best of times.

"And this challenge is further compounded when there are high information security and compliance obligations associated with the management and release of different data and data sets.

"This is a significant global problem for Government agencies and I am delighted that archTIS is part of the solution."

The POC contract was awarded through the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) Marketplace panel and is valued at $85,000.

This POC, coupled with archTIS' earlier contract win in May 2020 to assist with Curtin University's space tracking data sharing challenges, demonstrates the unique value of archTIS' intellectual property and the company's growing software and services capabilities in the substantial big data information security market.
