Barbie boosts Mattel's bottom line — and locked down kids' social development

It’s Barbie to the rescue, not only for Mattel’s bottom line in the third quarter but also for the social development of kids isolated by Covid-19 lockdowns. The toymaker saw a 22% jump in doll sales worldwide compared to the same quarter last year, driving an overall 10% increase in net sales for the period.
