Hawaii awarded $1.2M to combat unemployment fraud, identity theft

The Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations was awarded more than $1.2 million in federal funds to fight against instances of fraud in the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, or PUA, and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation, or PEUC, programs.
