Real Luck Group Ltd (CVE:LUCK) (OTCQB:LUKEF) has said it “welcomed” the announcement by the International Olympic Committee to launch the Olympic Virtual Series (OVS). The new gaming series is the first Olympic-licensed event for physical and non-physical virtual sports. The OVS will run just ahead of the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games, from May 13 to June 23, 2021. The Tokyo Games are set to start on July 23. READ: Real Luck Group adds VALORANT game betting to its platform Several international federations and gaming publishers are confirmed to take part in the OVS, including the World Baseball Softball Confederation, Union Cycliste Internationale, World Rowing and World Sailing, and Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). "It's fantastic to see the IOC recognize esports," said Real Luck Group CEO Quentin Martin in a statement. "We strongly believe that esports deserve to be regarded and respected alongside all traditional sports.
