*James Dean Bradfield* has launched new podcast Inspired By Jara.

The Manic alone is currently gearing up to release a new solo album, with 'Even In Exile' inspired by the life and works of Chilean poet and songwriter Victor Jara.

Executed for his opposition to an authoritarian state, Victor Jara's spirit lives through the album, with Welsh poet Patrick Jones supplying words and lyrics.

Out on August 14th, the record is trailed by a three part podcast series, constructed alongside award winning producer Steffan Garrero (The Socially Distant Sports Bar).

Episode One is online now, and it focusses on Jara's impact on modern music; to that end, James Dean Bradfield chats to Joey Burns from Calexico and Charlie Burchill from Simple Minds.

Episode Two focusses on the wider artistic landscape, with Oscar winner Emma Thompson and choreographer Christopher Bruce (who created the Jara inspired ballet Ghost Dances for the Rambert Dance Company) in conversation.

The final part lands on August 19th, with James Dean Bradfield looking at protest singing alongside journalist Dorian Lynskey, singers Dafydd Iwan and Holly Near; Labour MP for Cardiff West Kevin Brennan, and - naturally enough - his 'Even In Exile' collaborator Patrick Jones.
