It's the latest release on Speedy Wunderground...

*Speedy Wunderground* continue their singles series with six-minute* Joyeria* epic 'Here Comes Trouble'.

The famed singles series from Speedy Wunderground has seen the likes of black midi, Kae Tempest, Treeboy and Arc; all mercurial masterminds of their respective musical spheres; and all of whom provide the record label with the traction to keep growing, all while retaining it’s freshness. As label co-runner Pierre Hall describes: “…what’s good about the singles is it constantly makes people refer to us as a new label still – even though we’ve been going for almost 10 years! Which hopefully is testament to the run we’ve had – and the fact we keep finding fresh and exciting things to give that impression.”

Joyeria is the latest, and 37th, to have his name and music upon the now iconic Speedy single design. Details of the artist are incredibly scarce – only that he is of Canadian origin and now residing in London, a multi-disciplinary artist, musician, writer and thinker. A similar mystique adorns the new single, ‘Here Comes Trouble’, complimented by a Speedy Wunderground-oriented band of label boss Dan Carey on bass and George Rhys Davies of labelmates Tiña.

Cyclical, hypnotic guitars and motorik drums spur the six-minute odyssey through several trippy phases: a rhythmic barrage spilling over Bill Callahan vocals.

The artist also created the ‘Matt Groening infused with Francis Bacon’ style visualiser, described by Hall as “a flick-book version of a night out, trying to piece together what happened, fear and loathing style.”

‘Here Comes Trouble’ is out now digitally. The 7” is physically released on November 12th, limited to 250 copies.
