As the 21-day nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection entered Day 13, several fresh cases of infection were reported from Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir, among other places, taking the nationwide tally to more than 4,400 cases and over 130 deaths. With the country nearing the final week of the lockdown, health experts say that an “exponential” ramping up of coronavirus testing is required to gauge the actual impact of the complete lockdown.
