No link between Ozempic, Wegovy and suicide, EU drug regulators say

Drug regulators in Europe have found no evidence that popular diabetes and weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy are linked to a higher risk of suicidal thoughts or actions. The European Medicines Agency announced the results of its review Friday. It's the latest group to conclude that there's no known tie between a new class of obesity drugs and suicide. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration also found no link. Both agencies said they would continue to monitor reports of possible thoughts of self-harm in people taking the drugs.
