IMD issues orange alert for Mumbai, adjoining areas from August 3-6

Mumbai and its adjoining areas could witness flood-like situation in low lying areas on days receiving heavy rain through the week. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), on Sunday issued an orange alert for parts of Mumbai, Thane and Palghar from August 3-6, while a red alert for areas of Raigad and Ratnagiri for August 3.
