Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil has accused the BJP led NDA of trying to politicize actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death for garnering votes in Bihar. Addressing the media, Gohil said that some were trying to gain political mileage out of the death of the actor and asserted that the first to demand a CBI probe in the case was a Congress party MLA. He said that those who think that people would forget issues like migrant crisis, lack of jobs, Covid mishandling are foolish. Gohil also added that some film star is summoned every single day to attempt to divert the attention of the people from the real issue. He added that probe agencies are not supposed to make any evidence public during investigation, but still Whatsapp chats are made public. He said that this is a well thought out strategy and the Modi model in action. CBI, ED and NCB are probing different angles linked to the actor’s death. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged BJP workers to spread awareness on new farm bills. He slammed opposition and said they are misleading farmers. PM Modi was addressing BJP workers on Deendayal Upadhyaya's birth anniversary. "BJP workers should explain new farm bills to farmers in simple language. Opposition is trying to mislead farmers on new farm bills. It is the duty of every BJP worker to bust the lies regarding farm bills," he said. Nationwide protests are being held by farmers against the new farm bills. Opposition has claimed that the bills will harm the interest of farmers and benefit corporates. The Centre has, however, said that the proposed laws will be beneficial for farmers and help increase their income.

Alleged workers of the BJP and the Jan Adhikar Party clashed during protest against the farm bills in Patna. The incident reportedly happened when workers of Pappu Yadav’s JAP allegedly tried to enter the office of the BJP. A video of the incident shows some alleged BJP workers chasing JAP men and beating them with sticks. Many political parties have joined protests against the agri bills that have been passed in parliament and await Presidential assent to become laws. Farmer groups in several parts of the country are protesting against the agri bills. Farmers are apprehensive that the entry of corporates in the agriculture sector will reduce their power to negotiate fair prices and also fear that the system of MSP will eventually be diluted. The Modi government has said on numerous occasions that the system of MSP and APMCs will not be done away with.
