In a first since 1984, Centre allows Golden Temple to accept donations from foreign-based devotees

After a period of over three and half decades, the followers of Sikhism based outside India will now be able to credit donations or ‘daswandh’ (one tenth of income ) directly in a dedicated account of Golden Temple after the Union government registered the holy body under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act,(FCRA) 2010.
