Most panchayats in Bihar connected with high-speed broadband: Ravi Shankar Prasad
Tuesday, 15 September 2020 Speaking at a programme, he said only 10-12 panchayats could not be connected due to their location in forest areas.There were 4.2 crore mobile phone users in 2014-15 in Bihar which has increased to 6.21 crore in August this year, while the number of internet users was 80 lakh in 2014-15 but now it has increased to 3.93 crore, he said.
BJP national president JP Nadda performed prayers at Badi Patan Devi Temple in Patna on September 12. He was accompanied by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and State Minister Nand Kishore Yadav. Nadda is on a two-day visit to Bihar ahead of the assembly elections later this year.

Speaking to ANI in Patna on October 27, the Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs and Member of Parliament (MP) from Bihar's Ujiyarpur, Nityanand Rai spoke on upcoming Bihar polls and Tejashwi Yadav. Rai said, "There is no question of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) forming government as National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form government with 2/3rd majority and Nitish Kumar will become Bihar CM," he added.
Union Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed a public rally in Purnia ahead of Bihar polls. He lambasted at RJD party by saying, "Someone is saying we'll make a new Bihar. But in his poster of 'New Bihar', photo of his parents, who ruled state for 7.5 years each, is missing. Why're you so ashamed of your parents' photo?"
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti came under attack for her comments on Indian flag. Mufti recently said she won't raise the tricolour till J&K state flag is restored. She made the comments with the flag of erstwhile J&K state on her table. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad called her comments anti-national. He said, “We condemn how Mehbooba Mufti has insulted the Indian tricolour. Her statement that she won't raise the tricolour until the J&K state flag is restored via Article 370 - there can't be any comment more objectionable than this. The tricolour is India's national flag. Jammu & Kashmir is an inviolable part of India. Article 370 was removed as per Constitutional process. Both Houses of Parliament cleared it. Today, J&K has good administration, strict action against terror. People are happy there. To such a statement about not raising the tricolour till the state flag is restored, we want to say - Article 370 will never be restored. It has ended. One nation can't have two symbols, two chiefs. There can't be two flags.”

Rotor blade of Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad's helicopter was damaged at the Patna airport. The chopper flew Prasad to a rally in poll-bound Bihar. The incident took place after RS Prasad disembarked from the aircraft. The blades had reportedly hit an overhead wiring at a construction site. Prasad had gone to Madhubani for campaigning for the NDA. Later, the union minister's office tweeted informing that the minister was 'safe and sound'.
